More Random Acts of Kindness

Thank you for all your Random Acts of Kindness so far. They bring a smile to our faces everytime we read one. The latest one that Mark and I did was to help my station, Sports 620 KTAR's, annual Sporting Goods Drive for the Boys and Girls Club. We donated two bags of new sporting goods equipment and left behind Taylor's Random Acts of Kindness cards. It felt wonderful to pass on her smile to these kids!

Please keep the posts coming by adding your Random Act of Kindness to the comments below.

Hungry and running late, I decided to go to a fast food restaurant. While in the parking lot, I spot a homeless guy who I just know is going to ask for money. I catch myself sighing at the thought. Sure enough, he asks. I give him no money. I ask if he’s hungry and with a disappointed tone, he admits that he is.
After ordering and paying the bill, he asks if we can sit and eat in the restaurant. While the patrons give him that “it’d sure be more comfortable for us if you’d move it along” look, I decide to sit with him. We talk a bit and then he thanks me for the food and tells me that I’m an angel. Embarrassed, I assure him otherwise. It was at this point that I remembered the card. I take it out of my wallet and give it to him, telling him that his meal is indeed from an angel whose name is Taylor Paige.
Every day, without exception, we each choose to channel either the positive or the negative energy of the universe. Taylor Paige has had a profound and penetrating effect on the community surrounding Mark and Katie. She will always remind us of all that is pure, good and positive in the world. She will always be there when we’ve chosen to be kind and to revere the fragility and preciousness of life. She will always smile when we choose to be angels.

My random acts of kindness are not that exciting. I have given money to people in need on the street and bought bagels for a homeless person. I am continuing to be aware of things that I can do to help make someday's day a little bit better. -John

We hiked to the top of Mt. Baldy last weekend. When we got to the top, there was a man taking photos. We offered to take a photo of him but could tell he was bummed because his battery was dead. We took one of him with our camera, as well as one of his email address written in the snow to send it when we got home.

I helped out a man in need by giving him $5. I didn't have Taylor's card on me but told him her story to pass on her smile.

I bought two lunch gift certificates for men in need at Souper Salad and gave a man and his daughter some water and money at Target. Both of them were also given the Random Acts of Kindness cards.

Arizona's heat is no fun right now, so I gave the postman a glass of iced tea and some cold water to get through the heat this week. All in honor of my beautiful granddaughter, Taylor Paige.
Love you, Grandma

I was at happy hour with a client who I shared The random act of kindness cards with and we gave one to the cocktail waitress and asked her to buy a drink for one of her tables on us. She gave a women the cocktail with Taylor's card and they liked it so much they promised to pay it forward!
